John was only able to look back up as he saw Karkat's back as the troll headed back. The boy looked back down, honestly a bit panicky as a single idea popped into his head.
What if he did this and Karkat did end up passing out afterwards? Or what if he got angry.
Tightening his grip on the album, he clenched his jaw and raced forward, reaching out and grabbing Karkat's arm.
"Wait!" He demanded, hoping he wouldn't make a fool out of himself for doing this "...Just- Just let me do one more thing and I'll let you go!"

As if almost instantly, John's hand moved from Karkat's arm up to the back of his neck. Holding his breath, he leaned forward and pressed his lips to the other's and proceeded to push the album against Karkat's chest in order for the other to hold onto it.

What?John egbert is -Karkat's thought train is a muddle of mush as he kisses the other softly back,the album now in his arms as john had made sure he had gotten a good grip on it.

John felt his own heart jump as Karkat actually kissed him back. Blushing, he broke the kiss and stared at the other's face with wide eyes.
Did that seriously just happen?
John was honestly a bit confused, he was actually expecting Karkat to push him away or something.
Maybe this was a good sign.

Karkat just glances at the other,before poking the other's forehead."Don't know how but i remember...all of it now.."He waits for the other to question him,"If you want proof,Nic was born a month ago.We picked out names one day for him if he was a boy or girl,if he had turned out to be a girl,You insisted on the name liv for some reason."

John stood there and just stared at Karkat. Oh god, now he can just feel the tears starting to form in his eyes.
He lunges forward, wrapping his arm's around the trolls neck and just clung to him, smiling like an idiot.
"Y-You remember!" He managed to say, voice shaking "You actually remember!"

"I love you too." John said, squeezing his eyes shut "F-F*ck, I missed you so much!"
He could feel himself shaking, he wasn't sure why. As he choked a sob, the boy tightened the hug and refused to let go for a few seconds.
"Y-You are no longer allowed to try and bring dead people back to life, do you understand?!" John cried, feeling hot tears stroll down his face.

"Okay,I won't..I shouldn't have messed with the files in the first place."Karkat remarks,quietly.He runs one of his hands through john's hair,feeling the silky texture of it.They stay like that for a while,before karkat asks a question that's been bothering him,"What have i missed?"

John released his grip on Karkat and moved to look at the other's face, his hands still remaining on the troll's shoulders.
"Honestly, nothing much..." John muttered, "Except the birth of your son, but that's basically the only big thing that happened..."
Although, he was kind of glad Karkat had missed that..

John thought back for a moment and quickly shook his head.
"...He started to get a video of it..." John started "...But he... well- he couldn't afterwards."
He pulled his hands away and they rested at his sides.
"Even if there was a full video, I wouldn't have wanted you to see it."

Karkat blinked and nodded,before his gaze went to the ground.There is a moment of silence before Karkat says,trying to change the subject,"I got a job last month..Working at this movie studio in alternia."

He stayed silent for a moment, gaze drifting downward before he looked back up.

John nodded a little too quickly for his liking.
"...Maybe you can come for a bit, that is if you want to go back to Kanaya's house..." John offered "Or you can stay the night and go to Kanaya's tomorrow?"
His face heated up as he asked those questions, and he wasn't exactly sure why.

John's smile turned soft as he squeezed Karkat's hand as they walked back home.
He knew Casey was asleep on the couch when he left, but he wasn't completely sure if she knew he actually left.
Seeing the house come into view, to John it seemed like it took forever to get to the door.
Reaching into his pocket for the keys, he heard loud footsteps rush towards the door and swing it open, revealing a very frustrated looking daughter of his.
"Where the hell have-" Casey started to growl, stopping abruptly as she saw her Dad.
John could have laughed at the surprised look on her face, but stopped himself seeing as she was already pretty pissed off.

Karkat stares at her for a moment,debating what to do."He was with me."Was The answer he gave to casey's question that was for john.Karkat could easily see that their daughter was pissed off,or at the very least frustrated.She had been left alone,He assumed ,With nic and Ash didn't seem to be home at the moment either.

She straightened up as she looked towards John for a moment as if questioning him mentally.
"...Nic was crying." She finally said, glancing at Karkat once more before moving out the way and letting them in "I thought you were going to see what's wrong, but surprise! You weren't even there!"
"I didn't want to wake you." John sighed "Now get to bed, you shouldn't be up this late anyway."
Casey opened her mouth to say something, looked from her Mom to her Dad and then closed her mouth, turned around and walked upstairs.
"...That was easier then I thought..." John murmurs, taking off his jacket and hanging it up.

Karkat nods,"Surprising actually..I was sorta expecting her to cuss me out."He takes off his jacket and puts it on the coat rack,before looking around.Karkat was checking to see if there was any visible changes in the living room,Any changes he could notice.Besides the absence of a blanket on the couch,there wasn't many he could spot.

"She's been kind of on edge lately." John explained "Not enough sleep because she's been too busy making sure everyone was okay."
Kicking off his shoes, he heard a distance whine coming from his room. Letting out a sigh, he started to walk up the stairs while Karkat kept looking around.
