DEATH FO THE KARKAT

Karkat Vantas sat alone in his hive,it was cleaned out in celebration of his 18th or whatever it fucking was wriggling day. He checked through his sylladex, glancing at all of his items as he got up and headed out the door to the shuttle station. His eyes were scanned the station once he reached there,and got on the shuttle to whatever troll planet he was going live at.

Ash sighed,and looked at the tv impatiently,"He'll call us right when he gets there?"He asked his mother and sister.

John turned his head to look at his son, removing his eyes from the TV as his daughter's gaze was still fixed on it.
"He should. Or at least thats what we should expect." John said, leaning more into the couch "He'll be fine, don't worry about it."

Casey simply shrugged her shoulders and ate a few more chips from a bag. She turned her head to look back at her brother from her place on the floor.
"He wouldn't just forget to call and tell us, anyway." She said, leaning her head against her mothers leg and taking a small bite out of the chip.

Ash just nodded,hoping his sister was right as he trained his eyes back on the tv. Hopefully nothing would go wrong,because he had the oddest feeling that something horrible is going to happen today.And they won't be able to do anything. about it



Karkat just glanced around,looking for a seat on the shuttle.The troll found one in 5 mintues,and sat down,leaning back on it as he glanced out the windows as the shuttle blasted off.After a hour or two the shuttle landed,and He got up from his seat and got off the shuttle.He glanced around before seeing his entourage. Karkat sauntered over to them wordlessly.Vriska gave him a cheerful hello,while smirking slyly,"Well Looks like we finally get to know your blood color."

Casey nodded and looked back towards the TV as well, hoping to calm her nerves. Her skin tingled, her stomach was doing flips and she was sure she could freak out at any minute. She never understood why, but something was going to happen, without a doubt. She always trusted her gut instinct.

John just sat there, staring at the ground for nothing in particular. Honestly, he was worried. He wouldn't want to show it to his kids, but deep down he was pretty much freaking. Every possible thing that could go wrong went through the boys head, but he would always do that when it came down to the people he cared about the most.

Ash's eyes just drifted from the tv again,and to his pda which he had finally gotten back as he waited for karkat to get online.He let out a sigh,staring at the tv again as he thought.

Karkat just shot her a glare,as he walked to the blood registration place.He quickly had a convo with the attendant there,and his eyes widened as a guard appeared and started to escort him somewhere.He glanced around,as He walked.They soon reached a building and karkat was literally pushed in there and into a cell as his pda was taken from him and smashed. Vriska hadn't seen any of this,and only thought karkat was going to meet someone.

John quickly stood up, taking then empty bowl of popcorn to the kitchen and set it on the counter. He turned towards the fridge and opened it, scanning through it quickly to see if there was anything of interest.

Casey chewed on her bottom lip thoughtfully, her senses were going crazy, not sure of why. She quickly looked back towards her brother, then down at the lap top set next to her. She picked it up and opened it, probably knowing her Mom might lecture her about talking to Zack after the incident that accured a few weeks earlier. But she signed onto pesterchum and scanning through her list of contacts.

*3 hours later*
There had still been no word from karkat, not him being online at all.Ash was getting worried,as he said"You don't think..something happened do you?" His blue eyes reflect his worries as he glances down at the floor,wondering at what could have happened.

Vriska just glanced around,hearing the news that the sufferer's descendant has been found and was to be executed. Her curiosity overwhelmed her as she asked who it was, the shocking reply was karkat's name.

Casey gazed up at her brother, setting herself in a sitting position as she bit down on her lip.
"We can't be sure..." She said softly.
John turned his head to look at his kids, raising an eyebrow before looking outside the window. He wondered why was it taking so long, and maybe he was right to worry.

Ash's pda then went off and he quickly checked it,"Vriska's coming over in 15 mintues,She has news apparently" He remarked,raising a eyebrow. Vriska never came over to their house, usually it was them going to her hive.

Vriska quickly checked again before seeing where they set up the execution place..right where the sufferer had died...

John and Casey immediatly exchanged glances. Their eyes wide as then turned their heads back at Ash. Casey quickly stood up and looked over at Ash's PDA. She grabbed it out of his hands and turned.
"No... But what news could she have?" She asked herself, staring at the message.

Ash just shook his head,wondering himself."It can't be ..good.That's for sure"He remarked,seeing vriska's account go offline.

"Holy-"Vriska muttered to herself,putting her pda back into her purse.

Casey tossed Ash's PDA back and ran a hand through her hair.
"Well, we're obviously going to figure it out. I just wish she'd hurry." She muttered, wanting to hug Vriska before they got the news.
John anxiously looked down, wondering what could possibly be the news that the troll had to tell them. But nothing good came to his mind.

Ash caught his pda,and just leaned back in his chair,agreeing with his sister.

Vriska then glanced around before running to her hive on this planet,and running upstairs to teleporter pad.She quickly typed in a code and was transported to the house.

Casey's head immediately shot up, seeing Vriska standing before her. Before she knew it, she was hugging the troll tightly.
"Vriska!!" She said happily, as if she hasn't seen her in ages.
She then giggled and sighed.

John stood up, seeing Vriska, he knew that she didn't have any good news. He gulped back and waited for Casey to stop hugging the girl.

Vriska gave the girl a hug back,and let out a laugh,"Nice to see you again."
Once the two girls were finished huggging,Vriska's eyes met john's and her smile dissapeared. She then said in a very quiet tone,"They captured karkat...Somehow,The Troll threshecutioners..found out about his blood color,and Our Empress is going to have him executed.."

Ash's eyes widened,and said" Holy-..What?!" Oh god,please let this be a dream.

Casey's smile almost immediately disappeared. Her eyes grew wider as she took a step back.
"No..." She muttered. "Th-that can't be true!"
John noticed his daughters voice raise, he simply walked over to her and put his hand on her shoulder, although she never looked away.
"Is there any way we could go there with you? M-Maybe we could stop this..." John suggested, inwardly cursing at himself for stuttering.

Vriska nodded as she just glanced down at her pda,"You and Casey are going to have to be careful,Ash'll blend right in..."She just started typing in the code as ash was trying not to panic.Once she typed in the code,and pressed enter,they were teleported to whatever troll planet it as that the execution was happening at. Vriska glanced around before starting to walk,Ash just followed,his eyes looking around as he did so.

"How in f*cks sake are we suppose to be-" Casey started, John's hand covering her mouth quickly.
"Maybe if you stop talking to loud, we won't get noticed as easily. Casey, calm down." John muttered to his daughter, walking forward with his hand still over her mouth.
Casey grumbled under the hand and crossed her eyes, walking forward as she stubbornly stared straight ahead with a bored expression.
John kept glancing around, looking at the strange place as he hoped to himself they weren't too late.

Vriska contiuned walking but soon stopped when she bumped into a very familiar troll,Mindfang turned around and gave vriska a smile,but her eyes widened once at casey and john,She turned to vriska and asked,"You taking them to the execution?" "Yep" "let's go then" Ash just blinked at the two troll girls,"Is that like your mom,vriska?"Vriska shook her head,"F*ck No.She's my ancestor."and with that being said, the group contiuned walking.

Casey and John stared up at Vriska's ancestor, John honestly getting a bit more scared buy Casey seemed fascinated. She finally bit down onto John's palm, forcing him to let go of her mouth. She kept looking around, eventually catching up to her brother and grabbing onto his arm to show him that she was extremely worried, which is something she hasn't done since she was much smaller.

Ash just gave his sister a worried glance,Everyone was worried except for vriska and mindfang perhaps?They walked for another 10 mintues,and soon reached the scene where...Karkat was handcuffed,and the handcuffs glowed with heat,making blood drip from the burns his hands were receiving. A arrow was shot through his throat,and There was a woman in front of him.She had long cascading curly hair with a crown on her head,and a vicious smirk on her face.The Emperess just smirked down at the younger troll,and a humorless laugh escaped her lips.
Ash's eyes widened,"Holy-"He just shook his head,this couldn't be happening.THIS COULDN'T BE HAPPENING

"N-" Casey started, eyes widening at the sight.
She couldn't believe it, she wished and wished that she was in some sort of nightmare, but instead this was really happening. Her heart sunk as tears filled her eyes to the brim.
"D-Daddy!" She screamed, lunging forward only for John to grasp her arm and pull her back.
Casey turned her head to look at her Mother, seeing his glassy eyes, knowing he was about to cry too. He simply shook his head, telling her there was probably nothing she could do unless they decided to kill her too for trying. Defeated, she only glanced back towards her father, finally letting a few tears escape.
"Daddy..." She repeated a bit softer but only for her voice to shake.

Karkat's eyes glanced up from the ground,and he glared up at the empress,"You Know,Killing me won't do a fucking thing.I don't even know what the hell i did to even deserve this?" The Empress just shook her head,and said in a cruel tone,"You exist.That's One of the things you did." Karkat just let out a low snarl,and just let out a sigh.
"D-Dad"Ash murmured,quietly as he trembled a bit and just glared at the woman as she turned towards another troll,and said"Finish Him."Vriska just watched,her eyes wide and mindfang's as well.

"No!" Casey shouted, trying to lunge forward again.
"Casey! There's nothing we can do!" John said, pulling her back, his own voice shaking.
The girl turned back, giving her mother a glare as she chewed on her bottom lip.
"You of all people should be trying to stop this!" She yelled, her entire body shaking "You love him!"
John was taken back by that comment, unsure of how to respond. Honestly, he wanted to stop this as much as his kids wanted to, but to be killed along with Karkat? That was something he couldn't do.

Ash just stared at the troll the empress had spoken to,As he readied his bow and arrow,He gave karkat a sympathetic look as he drew back the arrow string,Mindfang just remarked"This...is worse than how his ancestor was killed...She had least gave him a painless death...."Ash just glanced away as a thump was heard as the arrow pierced karkat's heart.Vriska just couldn't believe it,but then realized that terezi was standing to next to her,"K-Karkat"She murmured softly,her lower lip trembling.Vriska pulled the troll girl into a hug,and said in a soft tone"It's going to be okay..." Karkat Vantas was dead.
