Karkat just watched the human for a moment before curiosity got the best of him,"So what was your dream about?"He asked,shifting his eyes to the corner of the room.

John turned to face Karkat, clutching the remote as his face flushed and his eyes got wider.
"U-Uhh... N-Nothing!" He stuttered, shaking his head frantically "I-It was... uh... Just..."
He thought for a minute, trying to come up with something quickly, too embarressed to even admit what he really dreamed about.

Karkat laughed and said,"You don't have to tell me john,It's just a question"he gives the boy a smirk,before it faded to his normal serious face.
He was curious about the boy's dream,he would admit.
But if john didn't want to tell him,He'd ask vriska later if she could find out from him.

"It was about Penguins!" He said, excitedly, then he realized what Karkat had said and laughed nervously "...Sorry... Kind of... tired." He said, making up the excuse.
He turned off the TV and tossed the remote on the couch.
"...So what do you want to do now?" He asked, stretching his arms up and yawning.

He went back to thinking as he awaited an answer from the human.Penguins?Really?He mentally shook it off,Yeah that was....a lie he bet.

John shrugged and ran a hand through his hair.
"We might as well try to find something in the kitchen. I'm kind of thirsty." John sighed.
He turned towards the kitchen and walked over to the fridge, opening it and looking through it.

Karkat followed him into the kitchen,glancing around quietly.
This doesn't look much different than the kitchen that was in his hive at alternia,He thought as he finally relaxed a bit

John turned his head towards Karkat. "Look for something that interests you... I'm just going to have water."
He backed away from the fridge and went to the cabinet, grabbing a cup and filling it with tap water.

Karkat shrugged,"I'm not really....Hungry Or thirsty."
Not after seeing Gamzee freak out before coming here...That had sorta ruined his appetite.He then asked a question which he was a bit curious about,"John,What's your dad like?"He had only known his lusus,Not his real parents.None of the trolls ever met their parents.

"My dad?" He asked, turning back towards his friend, and leaning against the kitchen counter "Uh, he's pretty cool, I guess. Hardly ever home though."
He took a sip of his water and tilted his head.
"Why did you want to know?"

Karkat shrugged,"Anything.I never even got to meet my parents,though my lusus is sorta like one?I suppose."He shut up then,not wanting to confuse his friend anymore than he should.

"Oh... I'm sorry about that..." John stated sadly, looking down into his cup.
He then went to take another sip, having it spill all over his shirt. He gasped at the coldness and groaned.

Karkat blinked at this,and quickly pulled off his overshirt.He liked to layer things,so he had been wearing a longsleeved tshirt over a shortsleeved tshirt."You can borrow it if you want"He muttered,He had seen that all of the boy's other shirts(I'M LAUGHING) while in john's room,were all dirty.

John eyed the piece of clothing, then looked up at Karkat.
He quickly set the cup down and pulled off his own shirt, setting it down on the counter. Then he took the shirt from the other and put it on. Fixing his glasses afterwards and giving Karkat a soft smile in return.
"Thanks!" He said happily.

John laughed, crossed his arms and raised an eyebrow.
"So, if you hate me so much, as you said, why are you being so nice to me all of a sudden, hmm?" He asked.

Karkat asked,narrowing his eyes a bit."I can be nice if i want but trust me,if you ever get to our actual first conversation from my point of view in the future,You'll see just how rude i can be..."He chuckled a bit.

John shook his head.
"No, I'd rather you be how you're acting now to be honest..." He laughed "I'm sure once I read our first conversation, I will see how mean you can be."
He noticed a spot on his glasses, and took them off, examining them and sighing.
"But don't get me wrong, you being all mean and pissy is really entertaining, actually."

Karkat blinked at this and grumbled"Fine.just remember that was my first conversation with a human and i was especially crabby that day."He then coughed into his hand,and quoted"My hate is the life blood that pulses through the veins of your universe.It is my gift to you,You're welcome for that...You ungrateful piece of shit!"

John tilted his head at Karkats rant.
Then he laughed a bit and pushed Karkat playfully.
"Man, thats funny... Mean... but funny." He chuckled "Hey, why don't we go back to my room? I was expecting Dave to message me soon anyway"

Karkat nodded,"Kay.I 'm expecting Gamzee to message me on my pda as well"he pulled out his pda from his jeans right pocket and began to walk upstairs to the human's room.

John walked back into his room, sitting infront of his computer and checked to see his he had recieved any messages.
With no luck, his best friend didn't send him anything.
Sighing, he turned off his screen and leaned back in his chair.

Karkat sat down on the floor,hearing the familair noise that happened when he had a message on trollian.He read what gamzee has sent him and his eyes blinked once,twice.."Ah shit"He said,shuddering.Gamzee....was in...insane..mode..again.
