John quickly entered his room to message Rose and see what was going on. His room had gotten bigger and two unfamiliar contraptions where set in the wide space.
He muttered a few words under his breath before getting up to examine them.

Karkat quickly glanced around,spotting an imp.His eyes narrowed as he pulled out his sickles and fought the monster.

Ash observed the machines for a moment,One seemed pretty obvious on how to be used and that was the totem lathe.

"...I have no idea how this is suppose to be useful..." John muttered, poking the machine.

Casey felt her face cringe as her head pounded. She slowly opened her eyes and noted she was lying down on the couch. She quickly sat up and looked around, seeing no sign of her father.

"Hm,Maybe you're supposed to put something in it?"Ash remarked,looking at the machine.before taking note of what seemed to be the functions of the device.

Karkat had just been stabbed by the black figure known as jack noir,He blinked at this and just stared at the blood dripping off of his clothes now.His eyes widened as he started to fidget,telling jack to look away.

John nodded and quickly got instructions from Rose. He rushed downstairs yet again and stared at the cruxtuder, opening the top and recieving a blue cylinder-looking thing and a kernal sprite appeared. He quickly ran back upstairs and put a card into the totem lathe, creating a weird shaped totem out of the blue cylinder.
"...I think I figured it out." He said, laughing a bit.

Casey scrambled to get up, walking outside to see her father bleeding, with this weird looking imp thing just staring at him. She wondered why he was telling the imp to look away, but quickly worried about her fathers health.
"D-Dad?" She whispered quietly to herself, making sure he didn't hear her.

Ash laughed a bit and nodded,"Well of course you did"He grinned and said,"I think the totem goes to that other thing?"He didn't know what the hell the alchemiter was at this moment.

Jack just blinked at this and just asked,"what the f*ck is wrong with you,kid?"In alternia.In plain english, karkat voices his thoughts for once/ It seemed he's the only one of his kind with this mutant candy-red blood, An outcast. He thought he was put on this planet covered in an ocean of his own blood to be taunted. Punished for just existing.Jack just facepalmed,and thought'Wow..Gotta do something to get him to shut up'

John nodded.
"We just have to somehow sneak past my dad..." he said, thinking for a second.

Casey just stood there. She had never heard her Dad talk this much in her entire life. She quickly slapped her hand over her forehead and groaned.

Ash thought for a moment,"Give me a moment.I'll think of a plan in a moment"

Jack just wiped the blade on his hand,making it look like he had cut himself and had the same blood color as karkat,he held up his hand to karkat,watching as the young troll's eyes widened and he took jack's hand,the two now entering. cahoots.

Casey groaned again.
"How much more of a fucking dumbass could you be?" She thought outloud, but soft enough for only her to hear it.
She almost wanted to smack her own head against a wall.

Ash then glanced outside,seeing the ladder there."Well if you're not scared of heights,we could use the ladder to avoid him "

Karkat then heard his hivetop beeping as he held a conversation with jack,He quickly walked over to it and muttered"Good.I needed to talk to her anyways"

Casey leaned against the wall. She crossed her arms and shook her head. She was never going to let him forget about this once she got back.

Ash nodded and said,"It was just a random idea"He then heard john's pesterchum go off.

Karkat has no idea why he's doing this instead of talking to vriska but he messages the egbert human,'HEY EGBERT,YOU DON'T HAPPEN TO BE PLAYING A GAME CALLED SGURB OR SOMETHING CLOSE TO THAT DO YOU?"

John quickly turned his head to the side and stared at the name flashing on his computer screen. He sat on his chair and read the message and who it was from. He rolled his eyes and started to type.
"Sburb, actually. Why?" He typed back.

Casey managed to look over her Dads shoulder to who he was messaging. A smile crossed her face but quickly vanished.

Karkat quickly messaged him back,"BECAUSE I'M PLAYING THE SAME GAME..OR AT LEAST A VARIATION OF IT"He then messaged vriska.

Casey pulled out her PDA and started to message her brother.
"They totally want to f*ck each other and they don't even know it." She typed, getting into a silly mood.

Ash messaged back,"XD Well they're both only 13 right now casey."

John puffed out his cheeks at the nickname, but appreciated the tip.
"Okay... uh... Thanks." He said.
He didn't know why this troll was being so nice to him.

"13, 17, who cares? Exactly why I said they don't know it yet." Casey typed "but whatever, we have to find a way to get back into the future. I passed out before, i don't want to again."

Ash texted back quickly,"Maybe we should ask aradia?She knows things and she could possible figure out how to get us back to the future"

"...Wow... Just- ...I have absolutely nothing to say to that. But thanks for the advice." John typed back.
He stood up and turned his gaze towards the latter outside his window.
"Now the question is how to get onto that latter without slipping up and falling..." He muttered.

"Damn, I would find her... But I'm not even sure where she is." Casey typed.
She then raised her head to look at Karkat, her eyes lit up once again and she smiled happily.

John quickly nodded and smiled.
"That'd be great, thanks!" He said happily.

Casey raised an eyebrow at her brothers question and bit her lip.
"Hey... So... I have a question..." She said, stepping closer towards her dad "Can you ask Sollux... what one person would do if they needed to get back to their own timeline... I mean, i'm just curious."
She tried her best not to make it obvious why she was asking, but she probably failed.

Karkat thought about it for a moment,blinking at the girl."Sollux knows quite a bit about that subject,but you'd have to ask someone like....Aradia..She's dead...and a ghost so she could..get that person back."

John nodded and also reached the ladder, climbing up it and looking around cautiously.
"We have to make this quick. My dad might notice." He stated.

"...So where can I find Aradia...?" Casey asked, lacing her fingers behind her back.
