Casey snickered at that.
"Yeah.. maybe she will." She then sighed and laughed "I was suppose to meet my Dad's lusus once. Then we got distracted and left before I could. My brother and I were disappointed..."
She checked her PDA and stood up straight.
"I guess I'm with Dad in Alternia... but get this... It's the past him..." She typed "Where are you?"

John thought about it for a minute then smiled happily, his blue eyes lit up immediatly.
"Oh! It's like a romantic movie! Two people from two different worlds falling in love and having kids... Thats so awesome!!"

Karkat leaned back in his chair,"Lusus's aren't really impressive,Mine's a crab"Which explained a lot.

Ash blinked at his mother ,getting all excited over this,and he laughed a little,"Mom and dad argue a lot ..though"

Casey placed her hands behind her back as she looked towards Karkat.
"Maybe not... But I find them interesting." She said softly, looking down, then looking back up and running a hand through her hair.

John frowned slightly.
"Even if they fight, I'm sure they still love each other! Thats what movies had taught me." he said, gaining back his smile.

Ash nodded,and said"I'm sure of that too!"He grinned and saw that john had a birthday present tucked under his arm,"So today's your birthday?"

Casey's blue eyes lit up as she quickly nodded.
"Sure!! Okay!" She giggled happily.

John looked down at his present and nodded.
"Yup! Just turned 13. How old are you?" He asked, curiously.

Ash said,"Happy birthday and I'm..16"

Casey stared up at his lusus. Wide eyes filled with amazement.
"Wow..." She said, stunned.

"Thanks!" John said, "And wow, 16? Thats so cool. I wish I was 16."

Ash said,"No problem"He gave the other a grin,and said"Highschool's the best part about being 16 and driving.."

"I've already seen- ...Uh.." Casey started, trying to catch herself "I-I mean.. Thats cool!"
She quickly pulled out her PDA again and texted her brother.
"Ash! Answer me! i'm starting to slip up big time. We need to get out of this mess!!"

John laughed.
"Yeah, I figured... Although I kind of like where I am now. Much less responsibilty." He said, smiling.

Karkat just watched the girl for a moment,...She was slipping up about something and Karkat just didn't know what.

Ash nodded,and said,grinning"Well..It does get easier to deal with responsibility"He then texted his sister back,'I'm trying not to slip up...it's..weird..ask dad what he thinks about mom right now'

Casey looked back at Karkat, an innocent smile on her face.
"Soooooo, what do you think of this 'John Egbert' kid~?" She asked.

John nodded and ran a hand through his hair, then looking down the street.
"I wonder when my dads going to get home... Anyway, why don't you come inside? My friends probably spamming me since I didn't come back yet."

Ash nodded,"Alright~"He gave the boy a small grin,and wondered when the man who was dead who was supposed to be his grandfather arrive,he quickly texted casey'And it looks like i might get to meet grandpa'

Casey turned her attention towards her PDA again.
"I met Dads lusus. Take a picture of grandpa for me, 'kay~?" She typed.

John walked back up to his house, having the strange boy follow him. He didn't know why, but he felt a connection with him.

John closed the door behind him and walked up to his room.
"Sorry if my rooms a mess. My dad decided to litter it with cakes earlier..."

"Sgurb."Karkat shrugged,and said"There's two teams,Red Team and Blue team.Ironically I'm leader of the red team and i hate that color"He quickly texted terezi telling her to establish the connection,but got no answer.

"No problem"Ash said,glancing at the posters.Noticing the little monsters one,"That was a awesome movie"He commented.

John sat at his computer and smiled at Ash.
"Yeah, it's one of the best!" He said, laughing.
He then turned his attention back to the screen and started to talk to Dave.

"Sollux."was Karkat's reply,as He finally got the connection to work with terezi as the server player and him as the client player.

Ash glanced at the calendar,seeing that the sburb game's beta game had come out today?He had heard his mom and dad talking about it once.

John started up the game, finally talking to rose at the same time. He leaned back in his chair and sighed deeply. He then looked back at Ash.
"Do you want to play this with me?" He asked.

Ash nodded,and said"Sure"He then asked,"So.How's the game supposed to work?"he had never gotten close enough to hear the fundamentals of sburb.

Casey quickly snapped her head around towards the crash, startled, she tensed up and glared at the object that came through the window.
"A... book?" She asked, relaxing a bit.

"I honestly have no clue." John laughed, sending a message to Rose "I didn't exactly listen when Rose explained it to me, I don't know all the details."

Casey raised an eyebrow, unsure what this whole game was about, but followed her father. All she wanted to do was go back home or hope this whole thing was a dream. She had no idea what she was getting herself into.

John nodded and quickly stood up from hearing a loud noise.
He checked with Rose to see what happened and grumbled to himself, she had tried to get use to the controls and moved his toilet outside.
